Doug Wadsworth currently resides in Richland, Washington, with his wife of 26 years. He is the current President and CEO of Tri-CU Credit Union, the president of ESCUD (the Endangered Small Credit Union Defense), the first and only advocacy oragnizatin in history that exclusively advocates for small credit unions. Doug is also the Treasurer on the board of the Humanitarian Fund of Columbia Center Rotary Club and Bike Tri-Cities. His experience and qualifications include the following:
Current: President and Founder of the ESCUD, the Endangered Small Credit Union Defense (a nonprofit advocacy organization).
Current: President & CEO of Tri-CU Credit Union since 2008, and was previously in senior management at other financial institutions for 5 years.

Background
Doug was raised as an Alaska commercial fisherman. After serving a 2-year LDS church mission, he studied Engineering and Manufacturing Technology at BYU-Idaho. In 1997 he became the captain of a commercial fishing boat in Alaska. In 2002 he earned a Business Degree from Western Washington University, with a focus in Finance and Marketing. Doug was a founding partner in a family seafood processing company, the Wild Alaska Seafood House, and helped to construct a floating processor, the "Wild Salmon" (utilizing TBRS bone removal technology) and was the captain and plant manager in Southeast Alaska for two years, as well as managing designing the product/packaging and helping with marketing, sales, payroll, etc. http://wadhome.org/alaskacatch.net/company.html
In 2003 Doug took a job as the VP of Lending, IT, and Marketing at a small community credit union in Port Townsend, WA (Quimper CU). From there he became the Vice President of Consumer Lending at a billion dollar credit union in Idaho for 1.5 years, after which he became the CEO of Tri-CU in Kennewick WA, in June of 2008. He helped grow Tri-CU credit union by over 300% and managed the construction of a new commercial office, as Tri-CU became a leader in financial health and profitability among industry peers.
Doug is an active Rotarian, serving in multiple leadership positions, as well as volunteering with B5 (teaching English to refugees), in addition to serving in several leadership roles in his local church and in the Boy Scouts of America over the past 20 years. He was a Board Trustee for the Mid Columbia Library System and is currently the treasurer for Bike Tri-Cities (a local cycling advocacy group), and on their Rotary club Humanitarian non-profit. In the summer of 2025 he founded a social welfare advocacy organization (ESCUD) exclusively for small credit unions, pushing for regulatory relief and "giving back" to members.
